im off to santa fe

on Thursday, September 30th, 2004 ... ob: pre 2005

I’m off to Santa Fe for what should be a fantastic winter. Will be working on the web for at least a few months, perhaps even leading to more frequent posts! (wink; wink)

Functionality suggestion of the day: Gmail, so far, impresses me. I haven’t used hotmail/yahoo/etc recently, but it is working wonders for managing my listmail which I bounce out to gmail. Lists are sorted using their ‘label’ system as an alternate to folders. Only problem is the lack of a view or search option for unlabeled mail, typically the personal or otherwise unique ones. I’ve spoken with a few folks about it, all of whom use many lists and agree about the utility of that ability. Feedback has been submitted, I’m sure it will be added shortly. In the meantime, get an account and try it out! Let me know if you need an invite.

A live linux cd dedicated to the game of Go! – I’ll be trying Hikarunix out on my new laptop.
